On my back are life expectancies

I started a foot step carrying those

all on my back

မကျော်လွှားနိုင်ခဲ့.......

The warmth laboriously searched

using the bed sheet

Is not enough for the cold

which is still bone

cracking even when the Sun came out.

မိုးရွာချိန်မှာ မြေခင်းဟာ မိုးကာဖြစ်ပြီး

ညအိပ်ချိန်မှာ မြေခင်းဟာ အိပ်ရာဖြစ်သတဲ့

မိုးရွာတဲ့ ညတွေမှာ မြေခင်းဟာ........

The bed sheet is a rain coat when it rains;

And it is the bed sheet at night sleeping time. What about the rainy nights?

ကျောတစ်ခင်းစာ အိပ်ရာအတွက်

our nation’s territory where only bone structure is left!

မျက်လုံးကို ဖွင့်ကြည့်မိတဲ့ မြင်ကွင်းက

အရိုးပါမြုပ်ပြီး ပိုင်နက်ကို ခြံစည်းရိုးခတ်နေရှာတဲ့

အစိမ်းရောင်မြေပုံလေးတွေ.....

When you open your eyes; you see

the green tombs, building fences

with our bodies and bones!!!

လေတိုက်တိုင်း ဖွေးဖွေးလှုပ်သွားပုံက

စွန့်ရှာလေသူတို့ အရိုးတွေ ထထ တွန်သလိုလို

Whenever the wind blows these tombs

are fluttering;

Like the bones of the martyrs

are speaking up!!!

အတွေးတွေ မဆုံးခင်

ဝုန်းဒိုင်းကျဲသွားတဲ့ ဆူညံသံတွေ

လက်နက်ကြီး လက်နက်ငယ် ယမ်းခွဲသံတွေ

အသက်ငင်နေတဲ့ ဗုံးဆံတွေ ကျည်ဆံတွေ

Even before I can close my thoughts

So many noises erupted

Small arms fire, artillery fire, the blasts

Death ringing shells, bullets

မြေပြင်နဲ့ ဝေဟင်မှာ

တော်လဲသံတွေ အလား

မိုးချိန်းသံတွေ အလား

On the land in the air,

Earth roaring

Like thunder striking

ကမ္ဘာမီးလောင်တာ မမြင်ဖူးပေမယ့်

ချနင်းခံရတဲ့ သားကောင်တွေကတော့

မျက်စိရှေ့မှာ အလဲလဲ အပြိုပြို

Though never seen a world burn out

The prays who are thrown

under the fire to step on

Felling down under my eyes.

ကြောက်ရွှံ့ခြင်း စိုးထိတ်ခြင်းနဲ့

ရှင်သန်လိုခြင်းတွေ သိစိတ်မှာ

အားပြိုင်နေဆဲမှာပဲ

Fear, worry, and the will to live on;

Because of my self-ego living in my unconscious

My gun becomes full of gun smoke

To scarify other’s life to save own life

ဟန်မူရာဘီရဲ့ ကိုဓ ဥပဒေထက်

ကျိန်ဆိုထားမိတဲ့ သစ္စာတွေ အတွက်

ဟစ်ပိုကရေတီးကို ရှက်ရွှံ့မိလေရဲ့

I put aside my hot barreled gun on the ground!!

Spread the bed sheet from my side pack on the ground!

ကျောပိုးအိတ်ထဲက ဆေးဝါးတွေ ထုတ်ပြီး

ခနော်ခနဲ့ ဆေးခန်းလေး ဖွင့်လှစ်လိုက်တယ်

Take out the medicines from the back pack;

And open a make-shift clinic!

သိပ်မကြာခင် မိနစ်ပိုင်းလေးကမှ

ကြမ်းခဲ့ ရမ်းခဲ့ သမျှ စစ်သားကြီးတွေဟာ

The strong fighting soldiers of just a few minutes ago

ခုချိန်မှာ မိခင်ရင်ခွင်တွင်းက
